Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of perceptions of the teaching profession, interest in becoming a teacher, and family environment, both individually and collectively, on the readiness of students in the Economic Education Program at the University of Lampung to prepare themselves as teachers. This research employs a descriptive-verificative approach with an ex post facto design. The sample, selected using simple random sampling, consisted of 162 students from a population of 272. The analysis revealed that perceptions of the teaching profession, interest in becoming a teacher, and family environment significantly affect students' readiness to become teachers, both separately and simultaneously. The data analysis indicates that these three variables contribute 54.3% to the students' readiness, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
